Chain Lakes Reservoir

Chain Lakes Reservoir is one of the heaviest stocked trout lakes in the province. It is located in the foothills of Alberta with the beautiful backdrop of the rocky mountains. Shore access in abundant and fishing is productive for most anglers. Fish sizes are generally around 25cm in open water but winter anglers tend to be more productive and catch bigger fish. Although Chain Lakes is stocked with Rainbow Trout annually, don't be surprised if you catch a Brook Trout (or any other Trout species) which gain access through Willow Creek.
Chain Lakes Reservoir is a great place to teach any novice angler how to fish, with rare chances of getting skunked. It is a perfect family get away, providing easy access and amenities for all family types.
