Fall Fishing

Fall fishing can be tough with many locations through out Alberta closed to fishing (for the winter months), and starting to ice over. But there is one prize location that remains open year round; The Bow River (from the Western Headworks Diversion Weir downstream to the Carseland Weir).

If you are unfamiliar with this section of the Bow River, a new Alberta business "Tightlines Productions Ltd." recently released a waterproof hand book for fisherman looking to fish the Lower Bow River. This book is complete with a detailed map, flow chart, hatch chart and insect guide. It also gives room for fisherman to document their experience on the bow with a notes section.

So if you haven't fished the Bow, and you don't mind the cold, now's a good time to experience one of Alberta's best. You can find these Lower Bow River maps at the following Alberta Retailers:

You can also purchase direct via their web store for $14.95 with free shipping.
